In 2000, Jay Gauldin and his father formed a residential construction company under the name of Gauldin, LLC. Not long after, Jay moved to the fast-growing Charlottesville area, where he worked for a well-established and highly respected family-owned construction company. It was here that Jay completed his Masters in Architecture at Virginia Tech and worked on some of Charlottesville’s most notable projects. Clients included The University of Virginia, CBS Rentals and Red Light Management. Jay was later recruited by the Piedmont Virginia Companies to become the President of Piedmont Concrete Contractors, Inc. – the area’s most influential commercial concrete company.
