Smith Mountain Lake Home Renovation
With this Smith Mountain Lake home renovation, the kitchen update, bathroom upgrades, and improvements to the exterior of this residence show that a few strategic renovations inside and out will go a long way to breathe new life into a home. Before this renovation, the homeowners weren’t happy with the traffic flow through the kitchen, so we moved the refrigerator and stove to create a new flow through the work triangle. The original cabinets didn’t reach the ceiling, giving dust a great place to hide. The elegant new Shaker cabinets reach the ceiling, where crown molding completes the look. Quartz counters are a durable, yet luxurious, upgrade over the original laminate. We continued the improvements through the house, freshening the look in the master bath with new paint, dark cabinets, and a fully-tiled shower. The homeowners included safety bars and a fold-down shower seat with the purpose of creating a bathroom they could enjoy into their senior years.
Outside we replaced the weathered wooden deck and porch with new Trex decking and vinyl wraps for the railings. No more sealing and weatherizing for this family! The result is an impressive entry and outdoor entertaining area that carries the improvements throughout. It’s easy to see how these homeowners have fallen in love with their house again!
